چکیده | ||
This article examines the narrative grammar in the Quranic surahs related to the story of creation. Initially, the theoretical concepts associated with narrative grammar are briefly introduced. Subsequently, the functionality of this narrative grammar is analyzed in the selected surahs on both micro and macro levels. At the micro level, the main events of each surah are outlined, and their fixed and variable elements are identified. Additionally, the temporal, spatial, and causal principles of the composition of these narratives are explored. At the macro-level, the connection of these surahs with the prophetic biography and the fundamental teachings of Islam, including monotheism (Tawhid), prophethood (Nubuwwah), resurrection (Ma‘ad), and divine justice (‘Adl), is demonstrated. At the macro level, these stories align harmoniously with their respective surahs' central themes and objectives. Through the creation of Adam, God emphasizes His oneness and sends prophets to guide Adam's descendants. In contrast, Iblis and his followers oppose the prophets and the righteous. However, ultimately, based on divine justice, victory belongs to the righteous, and Adam and his progeny return to God (resurrection). Thus, the core theme of Adam’s story can be summarized in three axes: the call to worship, arrogance and rejection, and the salvation of believers alongside the destruction of disbelievers—an axis that also applies to other Quranic narratives. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the Quran's narrative structures and their connection to divine teachings. Furthermore, they pave the way for further research in narratology, semantics, and intertextual analysis of religious texts | ||
