| The administration of society and the guidance of social movements have always required the organization of human resources, the training of competent individuals, the establishment of relationships among members of society, and the purposeful direction of collective activities. In religious societies as well, the realization of major cultural, social, and political objectives is not possible without some form of organizational structure. In this regard, the conduct (sirah) of the Infallible Imams (peace be upon them), as one of the most important sources for understanding the methods of guiding Islamic society, possesses considerable potential for extracting principles and models of social organization. Despite this, many studies have examined the conduct of the Imams primarily from ethical, devotional, or historical perspectives, while paying less attention to its organizational and managerial dimensions. Accordingly, the central issue of this study is how a coherent and reconstructable organizational model may be identified and explained within the conduct of the Infallible Imams. A further question concerns the elements and levels that may be discerned within this model and how such a structure contributed, under different historical circumstances, to the guidance of society and the preservation of the cause of truth. The aim of this study is to explain and reconstruct the organizational model found in the conduct of the Infallible Imams and to demonstrate the manner in which believers were organized in the service of social guidance. Within this framework, the study seeks to identify and analyze the principles and components underlying social organization in the actions and practices of the Imams. It also seeks to clarify the various levels of this organization and the relationship between primary organizations, social fronts, and enduring religious movements. Furthermore, the study aims to demonstrate how the conduct of the Imams, through the training of individuals, the establishment of networks of relationships, and the guidance of social movements, provided the basis for the cohesion of the community of believers and the continuity of religious movements. The principal question of this research is whether a specific model for organization-building, front-building, and movement-building can be identified in the conduct of the Infallible Imams. What is the structure of this model? What are its constituent elements? What relationship exists among its different levels? The study also investigates how the Imams organized human resources in pursuit of religious objectives and what mechanisms they employed to establish coordination, distribute responsibilities, and direct collective activities. Examining these questions makes it possible to derive a theoretical model for understanding the social and managerial conduct of the Imams from historical and narrative evidence. The methodology employed in this study is historical-analytical. The required data were collected through library research and the examination of primary Islamic and historical sources. In this process, hadith, historical, and exegetical sources were examined and evidence related to the social and managerial practices of the Imams was extracted. These data were then analyzed in order to identify common elements and recurring patterns. The purpose of this analysis was to develop a conceptual framework capable of explaining the organizational dimensions of the conduct of the Infallible Imams. By combining historical investigation with conceptual analysis, the study seeks to present a coherent picture of methods of social organization in the conduct of the Imams. The findings indicate that the conduct of the Infallible Imams reflects a conscious and purposeful organizational approach based upon the organization of human resources, the training of capable cadres, and the establishment of networks of social relationships. This approach may be identified at three levels: organization, front, and movement. At the first level, small and purpose-oriented organizations emerge, serving as the initial nuclei of social activity. These organizations are generally composed of faithful and loyal individuals and provide the context for training and preparing members for social responsibilities. At the second level, these nuclei become connected within broader social fronts and organize groups of like-minded individuals in opposition to competing currents. At this stage, coordination among members, the distribution of responsibilities, and communication between different groups assume particular importance. At the third level, social activity develops into a broad and enduring movement capable of maintaining continuity over time and preserving the collective identity of the community of believers. The findings further indicate that social activities in the conduct of the Imams operated within two circles: a broader circle encompassing the entire Muslim community and a narrower circle consisting of selected and trained individuals entrusted with more specialized responsibilities. This dual structure made it possible, on the one hand, to preserve relations with society at large and, on the other, to establish active and organized cores for advancing religious objectives. In addition, historical evidence demonstrates that the Imams paid special attention to cadre formation, the utilization of loyal individuals, and the assignment of specific responsibilities, and that they organized social and political activities through networks of close associates and trusted companions. The findings of this study demonstrate that the conduct of the Infallible Imams embodied a coherent organizational model for the guidance of Islamic society. Based upon the three levels of organization, front, and movement, this model provided the means for organizing human resources and directing social activities, thereby creating cohesion within the community of believers. Such a structure transformed religious activity from scattered and individual efforts into a collective and enduring process. Moreover, this model proved capable of preserving the continuity of guidance and maintaining the religious identity of the community under diverse historical conditions, including periods in which the Imams lacked formal political authority. Accordingly, the study of the conduct of the Imams demonstrates that the organization of human resources, the training of committed cadres, and the establishment of networks among them constituted essential elements in the realization of religious and social objectives. This finding indicates that the guidance of Islamic society cannot be achieved solely through theoretical teachings but requires practical mechanisms for organizing and managing human resources. Such mechanisms are identifiable in the conduct of the Infallible Imams as a coherent organizational model and may serve as an important source of inspiration for understanding methods of social guidance in Islamic societies. | ||
