| چکیده [English] | ||
| The inquiry into the ultimate goal of human beings has always been one of the most fundamental philosophical and anthropological questions. The destination towards which humanity is moving and the locus wherein its optimal perfection is realized is not merely a theoretical issue; rather, the answer to it can determine the direction of life, the system of values, moral choices, and human behavior. Consequently, throughout the history of philosophy and religious thought, varied answers have been given to the issue of human telos. Some have sought happiness and the purpose of life in the enjoyment of material and worldly pleasures, while others, looking beyond the realm of matter, have employed concepts such as perfection , felicity , divine proximity, worship, knowledge, and annihilation to explain the final destination of human beings. Despite this diversity of viewpoints, a fundamental issue remains: the ultimate goal of human beings must, on the one hand, be rationally and philosophically defensible, and on the other hand, be capable of moving and motivating humanity to strive. Some of the concepts proposed in the philosophical and mystical tradition to express human telos possess deep theoretical backing, yet due to their abstract nature or difficulty of comprehension, they cannot always establish a direct connection with the human motivational structure. Conversely, there are matters that are naturally desirable and motivating for human beings, yet they cannot be considered alone as the true and ultimate goal of life. Therefore, the core problem of this research begins right here: Can one find a concept that can both explain the truth of human ultimate perfection and be linked to his inner desire, will, and motivation? From this perspective, the issue of the article is whether "transcendent pleasure") can serve as a more appropriate expression of the ultimate goal of human beings and bridge concepts such as perfection, felicity, divine proximity, and knowledge, on the one hand, and human inner desire and motivation, on the other. The paper attempts to show that transcendent pleasure, when understood based on the ontological and anthropological foundations of Transcendent Theosophy) can yield a more comprehensive picture of the ultimate human destination. The main objective of this research is to elucidate the status of "transcendent pleasure" as the ultimate human goal based on the principles of Transcendent Theosophy. The article seeks to demonstrate that the concept of pleasure cannot be confined merely to the scope of sensory and material pleasures. In the Sadrvian view, there is a fundamental relationship between pleasure and the perception of perfection (idrak-i kamal); the higher an individual's existential and perceptual rank rises, the deeper, more intense, and more enduring the pleasure accruing to them will be. Hence, the aim of the present research is to reread the concept of pleasure in a horizon beyond common hedonism and to display its capacity to explain the ultimate goal of human beings. This research has been conducted using a descriptive-analytical method based on library data. In the first step, the primary concepts of the research—namely "goal" (ghayat) and "pleasure"—have been examined within the framework of Transcendent Theosophy. In discussing the goal, its status within Mulla Sadra’s philosophical system and its relation to motion and perfection have been addressed. Based on the foundations of Transcendent Theosophy, the motion of existents is not aimless; rather, every motion is directed toward a rank of actuality and perfection. Human beings are no exception to this rule, and their existential motion is ultimately directed toward a perfection commensurate with their existential reality. In the next stage, the concept of pleasure and its ranks have been examined. In this section, a distinction has been drawn between sensory pleasures and intellectual/spiritual pleasures, analyzing why some pleasures are superior and more enduring than others. The main basis of the analysis is that pleasure is connected to the perception of perfection; therefore, the more complete the object of perception and the higher the existential rank of the percipient, the more complete the resulting pleasure will be. On this basis, transcendent pleasure has been analyzed as a pleasure resulting from the perception and intuition of existential perfection and connection with the Absolute Perfection. The research findings show that, based on the foundations of Transcendent Theosophy, the human being is a creature in the process of becoming and evolution, and his motion is ultimately directed toward existential actuality and perfection. Therefore, the ultimate goal of the human being cannot be a purely material, limited, and transient affair. The final destination must be commensurate with the human existential reality and the high capacities of the soul. In the meantime, pleasure also acquires a deeper meaning than a fleeting sensation; for in higher ranks, pleasure is coupled with the perception of perfection. The most important finding of the article is that "transcendent pleasure" can be considered representative of the final rank of human felicity. This pleasure is the result of perceiving existential perfection and drawing near to the source of perfection, namely Almighty God. Therefore, transcendent pleasure finds meaning not in opposition to perfection and divine proximity, but in connection with them. The further a human being advances along the path of existential perfection and detaches from lower ranks of material attachments, the greater the capacity he finds to perceive truth and enjoy superior pleasures. The examination of rival viewpoints also showed that concepts such as perfection, proximity, and annihilation, although holding an important place in the Islamic philosophical and mystical tradition, each face limitations on their own. Some of them are too abstract for the general audience, and others do not establish a direct and clear connection with the human motivational structure. In contrast, pleasure possesses intrinsic desirability, and human beings naturally pursue it. This very characteristic enables the concept of pleasure, if properly explained, to also account for human driving force. Of course, the intention behind this statement is not the endorsement of material hedonism. In sum, the findings of the research demonstrate that the theory of "transcendent pleasure" can bridge two essential needs in the discussion of human telos: rational explanation and motivational power. Based on Transcendent Theosophy, this theory considers the human desire for pleasure, at its deepest level, as a manifestation of his existential motion toward perfection. Consequently, human motion toward God and Absolute Perfection does not mean ignoring human desire and will; rather, it is the realization of his most complete and enduring desideratum. From this perspective, transcendent pleasure can provide a framework for understanding human ultimate felicity wherein existential perfection, knowledge, divine proximity, rationality, and inner motivation are linked together. | ||
