| چکیده | ||

| چکیده [English] | ||
| The Twelve-Day War of 1404 (2025) between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel was not merely a military confrontation but also a significant discursive and socio-political event that reshaped political meanings, collective emotions, and identity constructions within Iranian society. Alongside battlefield developments, digital communication platforms became major arenas for producing and circulating narratives about homeland, security, resistance, martyrdom, sovereignty, and the external enemy. These platforms enabled users, particularly young people, to actively reinterpret political concepts through their everyday experiences and networked interactions rather than simply reproducing official narratives. Consequently, the central issue is no longer whether young people accept or reject the official discourse of resistance, but how they reinterpret and reconstruct it within their own political lifeworld. The present study examines the reproduction of the Discourse of Resistance in the digital political lifeworld of Iranian youth after the Twelve-Day War. It seeks to explain the meaning-making, emotional, and identity processes through which the elements of the discourse of resistance were translated into the everyday experiences and communicative practices of young people. Drawing upon the perspective of political sociology and the interpretive paradigm, the study argues that the continuity of political discourse in networked societies depends increasingly on its capacity to become embedded in the lived experiences of social actors rather than relying solely on institutional communication. Methodologically, the research adopts a qualitative design based on Political Netnography, an interpretive approach that investigates political cultures, interactions, narratives, and meaning-making processes within digital communities. Unlike conventional content analysis, Political Netnography emphasizes understanding the cultural and political meanings embedded in online interactions. The empirical field consisted of publicly accessible Persian-language content published on Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Telegram between the beginning of the Twelve-Day War in Khordad 1404 (June 2025) and the end of Azar 1404 (December 2025). Data were collected through purposive and theoretical sampling and analyzed using Braun and Clarke's Reflexive Thematic Analysis, allowing themes to emerge through continuous interaction between the researcher and the data. The analysis identified six overarching themes that explain how the discourse of resistance was reconstructed within the political lifeworld of Iranian youth. The first theme, Re-centering the Homeland, shows that national territory and collective belonging became central emotional and political reference points, distinguishing attachment to Iran from internal political disagreements. The second theme, Resistance-Oriented Realism, indicates that resistance was increasingly understood not only as an ideological discourse but also as a practical response to external threats and a prerequisite for national security and deterrence. The third theme, Suspension of Internal Divisions under Conditions of External Threat, demonstrates that existing political differences were partially suspended as perceptions of an external enemy strengthened collective identification with the nation. The fourth theme, The Affective Turn of Resistance, highlights the growing role of emotions—including fear, grief, pride, hope, and solidarity—in transforming resistance into an emotionally grounded everyday experience. The fifth theme, The Generational Reinterpretation of Heroism, reveals that concepts such as martyrdom and heroism were reformulated through personal narratives and digitally mediated representations that resonated with the language and experiences of younger generations. The sixth theme, Bottom-Up Networked Resistance, demonstrates that resistance was increasingly reproduced through collaborative meaning-making, participatory communication, and decentralized digital interactions rather than exclusively through official institutions. The integration of these themes led to the development of the study's central conceptual contribution, Lifeworldized Resistance. This concept describes the process through which the Discourse of Resistance is translated from a predominantly official and ideological discourse into a national, emotional, everyday, and networked experience. The findings indicate that young people did not simply adopt official narratives; instead, they selectively reinterpreted political meanings by combining lived experience, collective memory, perceptions of security, emotional responses, and digital communication practices. Accordingly, the reproduction of political discourse is understood as an interactive process rooted in the political lifeworld of social actors. The study contributes to the political sociology of the Islamic Revolution by proposing a shift from institutional discourse production toward the Lifeworldized Reproduction of political discourse. It argues that political discourses acquire greater continuity and legitimacy when they become embedded in everyday meanings, emotions, and communicative practices. The findings further demonstrate that the Twelve-Day War did not eliminate generational diversity or create ideological uniformity among Iranian youth. Instead, it generated conditions in which elements of the Discourse of Resistance were selectively reconstructed through the interconnected dimensions of homeland, security, identity, emotion, and digital communication culture. The concept of Lifeworldized Resistance therefore provides a new analytical framework for understanding how political discourses are reproduced and transformed within contemporary networked societies. | ||
